Crafty Birthday Party

There are lots of different birthday party ideas these days and it can be hard to come up with something original, or that will keep children entertained for a length of time.

This is a fun, simple birthday party idea, which shouldn’t be too messy, or involve too much cleaning up afterwards; perfect!

Children are always looking to express themselves, and once they start noticing what children in their class are wearing they can be very specific about which shoes they want to wear or about not wearing a particular jumper. This party craft gives children the opportunity to express themselves on their clothes, and leaves party guests with a keepsake they can use again and again.

All you need is plain t-shirts for X number of children attending party (and maybe a few extra, just in case) and in a few different sizes if you don’t already know the kids coming. When you buy direct from wholesalers you can get plain and cheap tshirts at a fraction of the high street price.

Using a pack of Berol Colour Fab crayons which include twelve different colored crayons children can easily put their own design onto a t-shirt and whilst they tuck into some party food the design simply needs to be ironed on to fix the vivid colors to the t-shirt. For younger children you can print out easy to follow designs for children to copy, or start them off with an outline to color in. Personally, I prefer a genuine child’s design, one that looks like the picture they’d draw you in class and bring back and have stuck on the refrigerator.

This is a sure fire winner at any party and will give great memories to party guests and the birthday boy or girl. Another great advantage to this craft is that it is suitable for unisex parties, appealing equally to boys and girls. Enjoy being creative!

Don’t hesitate; see your children’s creativity take form and their next party.

A big thank you to Amelia for the fun ideas for a crafty activity at a birthday party!
