Baby E. is now 22 days old. She is growing and I swear her face is getting a little fatter ;o)
The kids are loving her and enjoy holding her almost everyday. Tater comes up constantly and says “Hold it”. Its so cute!
The other kids enjoy looking at her and talking to her. Whenever she is sleeping they are terribly worried that she has disappeared. Ü

Tutu and Preschool Graduation

Filed Under Kids, love, parenting, preschool | Leave a Comment

Here are the pictures I promised from SuperKid’s preschool graduation and the Tutu I made for Cookie. She is still wearing it everywhere and I can only peel it off of her when it is filthy! SuperKid keeps asking when Kindergarten is starting and can’t hardly wait!

Tater is just cute as even and learning new words every day! It is fun to hear his new words and increasing vocabulary!

Enjoy the pics!

Baby is Here!

Filed Under Kids, love | 2 Comments

Baby E has joined the ranks! She was born at 8:26 am on June 5th. She was 20 inches long and 6 lbs and 14 oz. She is a beautiful baby girl that has claimed the hearts of her mom, dad, and siblings in less than a heartbeat.

Labor and delivery went well. Instead of my normal 20 minutes- 1 hr. labors, she was a little bit longer at just 4 minutes short of 3 hours. I guess officially the contractions started the night before after Jefe and I took a walk. I was able to sleep through the contractions until 5:30 when they intensified and then I had 10 contractions in 10 minutes. That was when I decided it was time to go to the hospital.

Jefe’s alarm clock was just starting to go off and so I put my arm around him and said “It’s time to go to the hospital” to which he said “You’re kidding, right?!” I laughed and said no, we need to go to the hospital to which he said, “But I need to take a shower”. I laughed again and told him he could have one if he hurried. ;o)

He decided that we’d better just go to the hospital. We got there about 6:30 am and found a warm welcome from the very nervous nurses who had read up on my history of quick deliveries. I assured them that I was not that far along, but they didn’t settle down until they confirmed that I was only dilated to a 5.

When the Dr. got there I was about a 6 and completely effaced. He broke my water and the contractions intensified, but in between we still were able to share funny stories and jokes. They checked me about 8:15 and I was at a 7. Much to the surprise of everyone, I went from a 7 to a 10 in one contraction and then baby was crowning. The drugs that we had discussed were out of the question at that point and so once again, baby came naturally. She took 3 pushes until she was completely delivered (thank goodness!)

Dr. felt really bad that we didn’t have time for the drugs, but I was just glad to be done with the whole thing. Baby didn’t like being rubbed and moved around and she screamed pretty good to let everyone know it. ;o)

The hospital staff was great and kept us happy, fed and comfortable. The nurses were very friendly and some even stayed in my room for a few extra minutes to chat. They even served Jefe and I a candle light dinner complete with sparkling cider!

Baby is still doing good still with no signs of Jaundice and has even gained 5 oz back since being released from the hospital.

Sorry for the delay in blogging…the day we came home from the hospital, my computer crashed! It is still not working ;o(.
