Sitting at the table

Some peope have the best dinner times. Their kids sit up and eat and then when they are finished the kids clear their places, wash their little hands and may even put their dishes in the dish washer. I imagine it with everyone in clean ironed clothes with soft music playing in the background and everyone smiling and engaging in casual conversation in hushed tones.
THAT is TOTALLY NOT my house! Around here there is climbing on the table, feet on the table, kids running around between bites, yelling and most times 2-3 kids in nothing but a diaper or underwear (depending on the child). Jeffe and I get so tired of talking that we just sit and eat as fast as we can in order to survive (or not get a foot in our food).
Well, we tried everything …they get down, they loose their food …a treat if they stay in their seat …a treat if the don’t move …even feeding them one at a time! Nothing was working…
BUT NOW–PEACE! How you ask? Hot lava and alligators. SERIOUSLY! Out of desperation I told them the hot lava was under their chairs and I would turn it off when they were done eating. They stayed in their chairs with not acrobatics the entire meal! After a few times of that, THEY suggested alligators. So now at every meal I put the food on the table and let out the Lava or Aligators…
Who knew it could be so easy!

I’m not one to post pictures of myself, but a friend here in town has taken some pictures of me and I wanted to share a few. A little funny…Superkid was counting the other day and got SUPER excited! He says, “Mom! I can count to 100. Listen. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14…(pause) 100!

Its a SNAKE!

I did an expo this past weekend for my felt stuff. It was a lot of fun but the best part was this wildlife center for the kids. They had a Bermise Python, Some smaller snakes, Big turtles, small turtles, lizards, iguana’s, and an alligator! Cookie was terrified of all of them, but the boys ate it up!!
