Now starts a new contest.  This time, the contest prize will depend on how many entries we get!  To enter, just comment on one of the blogs I post (links back appreciated, but not required).  I will give out more prizes for each 50 people that comment (people, not # of comments, so Mom, don’t even think about posting 1000 times to increase your odds ;o)) and depending on the # of comments will determine how big of a prize I will give out!  It will be at least worth $12.00 plus shipping, so comment away!

haircut anyone?

My son just tired to shave the cat.  It didn’t work very well because it was with a mustach and beard trimmer, but he sure got a chunk of hair!  The cat didn’t seem too concerned, and didn’t even move.  I was less than thrilled and moved quite quickly to get my SuperKid from doing it anymore.  

Luckily, no one was hurt and it gives me something to blog about!!

here’s my 101 list

OK, as requested, here is my 101 Things to Do Before I Die List.

I admit that it was a little more difficult than I thought it would.  100 sounds like a small #, but I’m only to 21 and I’m a little stuck.  Don’t worry, I’m sure I will make it up to the 101, but its more slow going than I thought.

So it occurred to me the other day while driving that I might be going a little too fast.  Granted, I was late for a meeting, had to take 2 kids potty while running out the door, change a poopy diaper AND had 2 more kids than I have given birth to, but in my mind these were just excuses and not good ones.  I was pretty focused on my driving until about the 3rd turn and I hear the kids going “WOAHHH!” in the background.  I though to myself, “They must be playing a funny game.” but then as we turned the next corner they did it again.  3 out of 5 kids all at the same time, just like they were on a roller coaster.    …I think they were disappointed when they didn’t get to do it anymore on that trip  ;o)

Fun treats

I am a few months late posting this cuz I made these cute “kisses” back in Feb. but they are so cute I wanted to share.  You make rice krispy treats just like normal except instead of pressing them into a pan, you grease up a funnel (your choice which size) and squish some of the treat-mix into them.  Then you give it a tap and the treat will fall out onto a greased cookie sheet.  Repeat until the mix is gone.  Print up strips of paper with saying on them like “You are loved” over and over or “Girls rule!” or “Happy Birthday Gina!” and then put a long strip of it under and hanging clear off the top.  Wrap the entire thing in tin foil (leaving the paper strip hanging out the top) and TA-DA!  You have an amazing, Rice Krispy Treat Kiss!  I did some large ones with my canning funnel and then some small ones for the cub scouts that I was a Den Leader for.  I probably ate like 15 of the by myself!  They were SO yummy!

These are great for any time of year just to let someone know you are thinking of them, or just as a new way to make your favorite marsmallowy treat!
