Sleeping?

I had the kids in bed at a pretty decent time tonight!  I think I could hear the quiet time that mom gets after the kids are asleep calling my name ;o).  They were all tucked in when I heard a noise from the other room (and the thought of my cherished quiet time was starting to deminish).  I listened to determine if it was regular “settling down” noises or “I’m jumping on the bed and making a mess” noises.  And then I hear from the bedroom, “Cookie, BE QUIET!  I trying to SLEEP over here!”  HA!  That’s a new one!

Its moments like this that I just know that I have to be doing something the right…but then again that might just be the joy that comes from the quiet, peaceful hours after the kids are finally asleep talking…

I love Jeffe!

Well, the past 2 weeks have been super busy around here (hence the lack of posting). We celebrated Tater’s 1st birthday, My 7th wedding anniversary, my Birthday, the Birth of my Website day, and Valentines Day! Crazy!

Te help to celebrate Valentines and my Anniversary, (even though this is late) I wanted to post 7 reasons why I love Jeffe so here they are in no particular order:

1. He is a wonderful father and husband. He plays with the kids, helps cook and clean up and provides for our needs.
2. He is a great listener! We can talk for hours (granted sometimes I’m the one that talks and he just listens…I definitely inherited my mom’s ability to talk!…more on that another time…) about anything and everything.
3. He supports my whims. I have been a cake decorator, volleyball star, Wedding coordinator and decorator, mom, website owner, felt person, Cosmetologist, Candy bouquet maker, sewer, quilter, and many more things with him supporting me all the while.
4. I can just tell that he loves me. I have awakened many times to him just watching me sleep (HOW CUTE IS THAT?!!).
5.  He makes me laugh! We constantly are laughing around here at each other and the kids. I think that a laughing home is a happy, loving home.
6. He has this ruggedly handsome smile. It changes depending on what he has been up to. There is a lying smile, silly smile, pretending to be angry smile, funny smile…and many more! There is nothing I like better than to see his smile.
7. This is going to be the all inclusive number. There are a million tiny little things he says and does that just make me love him more each day. I can remember back to the day we married and we thought we were in love then…and now it seems like we barely even knew eachother!

Also, kudos need to go to him for his thoughtful valentines/birthday gift. He made dinner! AND then he brought me some éclairs and chocolate covered strawberries…AND I didn’t even have to share! He’s the best!

I Love you Honey! You really are the best and I’m looking forward to many, many more years with you!

10 years ago today…
I was 16 almost 17 and attending Grangeville High School, Id.  

5 things on my to-do list today:(I know these are pretty boring…sorry!)
1. Laundry
2. dishes
3. blog
4. play with my kids
5. Find some “mom-time”

I enjoy:
Watching a good movie.Cuddling with my husband and eating chocolate, or icecream…or both!

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
Pay tithing, pay off bills, pay for someone to paint my house for me. And put in a backyard too…with grass so the kids can play in it!
3 of my bad habits:
1. Putting things off (like laundry and dishes)
2. setting down my keys in a place other than where they should be when we get home from errands.
3. Popping my knuckles. I know its gross, but when I’m nervous or anxious I still do it!
5 places I have lived:
1. Minot, North Dakota
2. Layton, Utah
3. Sierra Vista, Arizona
4. Portland, Indiana
5. Filer, Idaho

5 jobs I have had:
1. McDonalds girl. (total of 3 years. Yes, I really did like it…sad to say)
2. Baker- Moms Pies and Goodies. It was a lot of fun other than the starting work at 5am part
3.  Medical Secretary/phlebotomist- I did this for 6 months while in college.  Loved the job, not so much the other people that worked there.
4.  Gas Station attendant (I actually did this 3 times)
5.  Plasma Donator-Regularly….2 times a week for 1 ½ years during college.

5 things people don’t know about me:
1.  If I chew gum I get a bad headache, so I suck on it until the flavor is gone (sometimes a little chewing though)
2.  I like to hide candy and things in my house and save it for later.  My sister and Jeffe found a stash I had once and they still have not lived it down (mostly because they ATE it all…grrr)
3.  I HATE tomatoes and most fresh veggies.  I do enjoy most cooked veggies though. (still not tomatoes though)
4.  When I’m pregnant I can’t eat meat almost the entire time.  It makes me SOO sick.  I do occasionally eat it and feel really bad, but for the most part I try to avoid it.
5.  I don’t like to take baths.  I don’t know why, but I just don’t.  I think the last bath I had was over a year ago…

Tater’s Birthday

I’m feeling a little sad today.  My baby is 1.  He is so handsome and grown up and walking on his own and everything.

Cookie counts!

I was listening the other day as Cookie counted.   She totally surprised me by counting higher than 10…here is what she said:One, Two, Three, Four, Five Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten. 

Eleven, Twelve, Tirteen, furteen, eleventeen, ninteen.

Too cute!
