My 6 things…
Filed Under felt/business, laughter, love | 3 Comments
GGGrrrr! I’ve tried writing this post 3 times now and it keeps “disappearing” into cyber space! So I’m going to make this one short and sweet!
I have been tagged by Susan…Rules—Post 6 things about you…secrets, habits, anything that the world may not know already….Then tag 6 other people by commenting on their blog. They should then post their 6 items and then tag 6 other people, etc.—
- I love dark chocolate! M&M’s, candy bars, etc. I have several stashed in my house!
- I love kids! Seriously. We don’t know how many we want to have but the # 13 has been talked about. (I know someone just DIED when they read that!) ;0)
- My name is Awnya, and I’m a Felt-a-holic! I totally love it! Anything from Story Time Felts is simply great! I go nuts when they release any new products and I have a ton of it in my spare bedroom. I have been with the company for 3 ½ years now and my website, Time 4 Felt.com is my online store for their products!
- I talk to my mom like 10 times every day! We are best friends…its great! Some might say I haven’t cut the apron stings yet, but if they do, they haven’t listened to our conversations. I really have never listened much to my parents, so I don’t know why I would all of a sudden start now! I just like having someone so much like me to talk to!
- I have 3 toothbrushes. One is green, one is yellow and I think the other is green. I know this isn’t much of a secret, but my kids keep taking off with my toothbrush, so I keep getting new ones and trying to hide them. Plus, if you ever have a lull in any conversation, just ask someone what color their toothbrush is…it’s a great conversation starter….
- I love to cook…cookies, breads, cakes, pies, etc. Something about it is just really rewarding for me. Especially when I’m pregnant. I don’t clean, I cook! Yum!
- I love kids! Seriously. We don’t know how many we want to have but the # 13 has been talked about. (I know someone just DIED when they read that!) ;0)
Ok, that’s is. I admit that I don’t have many friends that actually blog, so I will not post who I’m going to tag just in case they don’t feel inclined to continue…

Eating out…
Filed Under Kids, food, laughter | 1 Comment
We decided to go out to eat the other night. It was kind of a spur of the moment idea so we weren’t very prepared to keep the kids busy while the food was being ordered and prepared. But any mom of 3 kids can find the most inventive ways to keep kids busy with little more that a paperclip and a napkin (kind of like a female MacGyver).
The activity of the evening was simple. I put up some fingers on my one hand and Superkid would tell me how many I had up. (Educational too…bonus points for mom!) So I would do different combinations of 3’s and 2’s using different fingers than normal to try to stump him, but this kid is awesome! He gets them all right with out skipping a beat!
His turn. 2 fingers. 3, 5, 1…and then it happened. That little “birdie” slips out and is flying around. I managed to stifle the giggle. “One,” I squeak. My son (knowing that something is amiss) tries it again. This time his father sees. Giggle, snort.
Now Superkid knows it…something that he should not do but seems like a really cool joke because mom can hardly contain herself. He manages to wiggle away from dad who is trying to quietly deter him from his current course of action.
3 fingers, 1 (pointer finger). I think we are in the clear when he whips it out again! I try to quickly cover my face because I know that my giggles and snorts are only encouraging the Superkid, but to no avail.
Finally, Thankfully…the food is ready…

P.S. The Movie from last time was “The Three Musketeers” not the cartoon, the real life Disney one.

Its Halloween time!
Filed Under Kids, Uncategorized, food | Leave a Comment
I just love Halloween. Any holiday really, but right now its Halloween time, so I love it!! I made tissue ghosts the other day…238 of them to be exact and they are hanging all around my house. In the windows, doorways, archways…you name it, they are there! I’ve been doing this in my own home for about 7 years now and before that we did it growing up. It drives my husband nuts! He really dislikes the ghosts and tries to lift up the kids and get them to pull them down so he doesn’t get in trouble. (LOL)
If you want instructions on how to make these fun ghosts, click on this Tissue Ghosts link.
I will also admit to starting the Neighborhood Phantom as well. (this one is found at The Phantom.) If you aren’t familiar with this, it is SO much fun. You simply print out the pages, copies of each to be exact. Then you have 3 plates of goodies. Take 1 plate of goodies and 1 copy of the ghost and instructions and set them on the doorstep of a friend or neighbor, ring the doorbell or knock loudly and run like crazy!! …Repeat 2 more times.
The instructions tell the people you “got” to do the same thing, so soon your neighborhood will all have had a chance to participate in this fun tradition. I LOVE IT! so do my kids. There is nothing more fun then trying to be sneaky!
This year I was carrying Cookie up to help me at one of the houses and just as we reach the doorstep she noticed a pumpkin by their door. “Pumpkin!” she yells! I just about died! We rang that doorbell and ran extra fast! Anyways, I hope that your Halloween is tons of fun! Enjoy!
