YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2007 when…

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3 . You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don’t have e-mail addresses.

6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn’t have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12. You’re reading this and nodding and laughing.

13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a #9 on this list

Chocolate cake (yum!)

We were just  fininishing dinner the other day when my husband mentioned that he wanted a piece of chocolate cake. 

Well, I don’t think I have mentioned that he is on a diet or rather a “life-style change”.  The program is called Prism and it is Fabulous!  My mom has lost 63 inches and over 60 lbs and my sister and dad have lost lots too.  (If you need to loose any weight, I HIGHLY recommend checking out that link!)

So back to the story…my husband wants chocolate cake, so I whip out a big, ol’ FAT piece of IMAGINARY chocolate cake from behind my back!  My kids were excited and played right into the game.  Husband was less than thrilled.  He kept saying “that’s not cake!  I want cake!” The kids would laugh and giggle.  Finally I took the “cake” and smushed it right in his face!  He laughed and then took some and smeared it onto the fave of Superkid.  He laughed and pretended to lick it up.  Husband then took some and went “splat” onto the face of Cookie.  She broke down and started crying!  She screamed for 10 minutes!  She was SO upset that dad would have done that…..

It was pretend cake…!!!

Movie Quote and more…

Well, this week the movie quote is “Hrumm.  Off with his head!”

Great movie!  This is my husband’s favorite part and he always laughs really hard when it is said. 

 Next, I have been pondering on “blog names” for my kids and I think I’ve finally got some!  The baby (7 months now) is going to be Tater.  Thanks goes out to my dad on this one.  It is his nickname for baby.

My little girl (2.5 years) is going to be Cookie.  This was her first word and she sill believes that any wrongs in the world can be cured with a simple Oreo.

My oldest (4.5 years) is Superkid.  He wanted “Super Underpants” but I thought it was a little long and not too catchy!…

So, from now on, that is who they shall be.

Prayers

My son was praying today.  It was so cute.  Among other thing he said “Bless our food to be powerful and strong (and when he said strong, he did the flex pose with both arms)”.  He also said “Bless Jesus to make all the animals” and I forgot the 3rd thing!  (grr!) I will try to remember and post it later! 

Cute little prayers!  So innocent and sweet!

Where does Santa live again?

First off, let me say sorry that the pages aren’t perfect.  I’m trying to figure out the problem with this darn template!  I can’t quite seem to get it.  So Sorry about the mess!

Ok, on to the story!

On the way home from church yesterday my son starts in to where Santa lives.  He says that Santa lives way, way up into the sky and outer space to “annoder” planet!!  Hey says that you can go see him in a rocket ship and blast off, but you can’t talk to him because he is too busy.  The planet is all white, but there is no snow.  It is sunny there.  “Actually they work inside the planet, mom” he says.  (like duh!  What are you thinking!)

I asked what happened to the north pole and he said it wasn’t far enough.  We were trying to contain our laughter, but got a pretty good chuckle!

Updating…

I’m updating my blog today.  It has been a long time coming~ I just have to brag  a bit.  The new picture I’m going to put up of myself on the side is colored by none other than my sweet 4 year old!  WATCH OUT!! Proud mama right here! 

So that is the task for today.  May be slow going with 2 kids walking in and out wanting everything on the planet and the baby sitting on my lap “helping” me type, but we will get there!!
