God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, nor sun without rain…but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

Long time no blog

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

My apologies my dear friends. I have to admit that blogging has taken a back seat as of late. But…

We are expecting baby #5 at the end of August!

Because of this delightful development, I have been really sick and barely able to complete even some of the basic tasks around the house…needless to say, I haven’t been on the computer very much. As of today, I am 14 weeks and 3 days pregnant, so hopefully the sun will soon come out and I will feel better and more able to function like a normal human being again. :o )

Until that happens, please be patient with me and enjoy the new baby tracker that I’ve added to the sidebar again.

Princess and Prince Paper Bag Puppets *FREE*

Filed Under Craft, Kids | Leave a Comment

Here is a fun activity to do with your kids and best of all its FREE!!
I originally drew these for my daughter’s kindergarten class presentation on Rapunzel but you can use them for almost any story with a prince and princess. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Rapunzel, The Princess and the Pea, etc.

Print, color, cut, glue so that the mouth is on the inside of the flap of the paper bag so that the puppet can “talk” and then enjoy!

Go to http://www.time4felt.com/free-printables/rapunzel.pdf to print it out.

baby update

Went to the Dr. today. It was my first visit to this clinic and I loved my new Ob/GYN. He said that everything is looking good so far (yeah) and he didn’t even call me fat.

The last Dr. that I saw for this pregnancy came in the room and introduced himself, looked at me for a second and said “There is no reason you should gain more than 15-20 lbs this pregnancy.” WHAT??! Normal weight gain is 25-35 lbs! Holy cow! He said it again 2 or 3 times in my visit. That combined with a few other things quickly convinced me that I should go to another doctor.

Anyways, 15 weeks is officially behind us. The doctor says that the morning sickness should be going away in the next 1-3 weeks (hurray!). Also, I’ve felt the baby a few times today. Very faint and I have to be holding really still :o ) I LOVE, love, love, love, LOVE that part of pregnancy!!

Ok, that’s it for today. Tomorrow I will post a fun activity you can find on my website for kids to do.
