How fitting with the fall season coming up to have such a festive dinner.
You will need:
1 medium pumpkin
1/4 c soy sauce
1 4oz can of sliced mushrooms
1 large can Cream of Mushroom soup
2 cups hot cooked rice (white or brown)
1 lb cooked ground beef
onions, celery, green pepper.
after cooking ground beef, add onions, celery, and green pepper. Cook until tender.
Mix remaining ingredients. Cut open pumpkin (I like to lay it on its side and cut the top side open. Carve out the inside. Put mixture inside. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour or until pumpkin is tender at 375 degrees.
Serve and enjoy!

So I just heard that there is a big fire about 20 or so miles away from us. We can smell it outside and even feel the heat in the wind. My brother was just driving by and he says that it looks like a volcano and we heard on the news that they are evacuating homes.
Tonight my heart and prayers go out to the people of those homes. I pray that the firefighters will be able to get this fire under control quickly and safely.

Tater:
“…and please bless Mommy, and Daddy, and Superkid, and Cookie, and Baby E., and just me….”
*Names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Kids are so adorable. I wish that I could constantly have a tape recorder going so that I could catch all the cute little things they say. This is one that Tater has been saying for quite a while and makes me smile every time.
I love to listen to my kids say prayers. They are so trusting and love to share about everything. It is common around here for them to tell what they have been playing that day and what we are about to eat during the prayers. Sometimes they pray for what we are doing the rest of the day or to go to Disneyland. They just share everything…anything. Just like they are talking to their best friend. And that is how it should be.

This is one I took and modified to my liking.
)
You need:
Egg noodles (1/2 of a large bag)
1 Large can cream of Mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups milk
1 lb hamburger (or turkey burger)
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 small can mushrooms
2 beef bullion cubes and 1/4 cup water
Cook noodles and burger (in different pans, of course). Drain noodles and rinse meat if desired. Dissolve beef bullion cubes in the water. Combine all the ingredients in a pot or 9 x 13 pan. Mix well. Warm and serve. Salt and pepper to taste.
This is one I couldn’t get enough of. The kids all had 2nds too. So much better than any noodle meal from a box.
