Waiting

Well, I have some cute things I wanted to blog about…like making Tutu’s for baby, Cookie and 2 of my nieces (so far). They love them and I have cute pics, but they are in the camera that is in the hospital bag that is sitting in the van. I know that if it gets taken out that it will not make it to the hospital, so there it sits.
And here I sit. Pregnant, hot, swollen, and with a foot up under my ribs. All a small price to pay for the sweet little girl that will soon join our family.
SuperKid has graduated preschool. It was fun and he loved it. He will miss it though.
Jefe and the kids went to Boise over Memorial weekend so that Jefe could go bear hunting. They had a good time and I sat home watching chick flicks and hoping that I would not go into labor until after they got back ;o)
My bro got engaged about 3 weeks ago and is planning a wedding now. His fiancee’ is so cute! We will love having her as an addition to our family.
That’s about it from here! Wish there were more to tell about, but soon baby will be here and I will have to post TONS!

Name this BABY!

Filed Under Kids | Leave a Comment

We are looking for baby name suggestions! With this little baby girl, there is nothing we have excluded. We like original, traditional and even some crazy ones (within reason). Comment to suggest a name…if we use one you suggest, I will mail you some free stuff (felt or a gift certificate) so you have nothing to loose!
All entries will be considered by myself and Jefe and I will announce her name upon arrival…Mom, you may not suggest your own name. Love you though….

Thanks and good luck!

MIA

Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

Sorry that I have been MIA for a while now. As an update, I started to preterm labor (as usual) at about 32 weeks along (about a month ago). Because of that I was put on “bed rest” (or at least the equivalent of that with 3 kids, he he) and given some drugs to take whenever I have more than 4 contractions in 1 hour. Luckily because of my wonderful mother-in-law (yes, we are still living with the in-laws) I have been able to stay down a lot…not laying down, just sitting. That seems to keep the contractions at bay, at least for the most part.

I did have to have the sterroid shot to develop baby’s lungs, so just in case she still decides to come early her lungs should be more ready to handle it. So mow the countdown is on! Dr. says he will let me deliver after I’m 37 weeks along…that’s on the 23rd, so like 19 days away ;o) …

Our AZ house should get the “approved to sell” letter today or tomorrow and so that’s about 20-30 days away from the sale being final (yeah!) which means we can put in an offer on a house up here in Utah! (double yeah!) So things have been crazy, but fun. I will continue through the day to update you on different things and pictures so that I will be caught up again.

Cookie’s 4th B-day

Filed Under Kids | Leave a Comment

April 13th my little girl turned 4. She’s a sweetheart and a joy to be around. She loves flowers, purple, pink, Dora, Mom, Dad, and her new sister coming soon. She enjoys pets and Oreo cookies. She is lost without her pillow and blanket which she carries all over the house all day long. She loves to dress up as a princess but can keep up with her older brother and cousin when they are playing boy games too.
I love you my little Cookie! You are a sweet and special girl and we are so blessed to have you in our family.

Used car lot

Filed Under Funny, Kids | Leave a Comment

We were playing Apples To Apples the other night as a group (probably about 10 of us) mostly being adults and then My 12 year old brother-in-law and his friend. On one particular round the friend won whatever the word for the round was with the card that said “Used Car Lot”. As he’s being handed the card I overheard a mini-conversation between the friend and my b-i-l. BIL said “what’s that?” and friend said “You know, a car lot that is empty and then someone parks on it and then its a used car lot.” !!!

I couldn’t help myself and started laughing to the point of tears…no one else had heard their conversation and I didn’t want to embarrass him, so I did my best to compose myself while everyone else stared at me with questioning eyes. The cards were passed out for the next round and I thought back to a moment before and started laughing hysterically again. This time I knew that I couldn’t get away from an explanation, especially when my other BIL said “I think she’s going to have that baby right here…someone stop her laughing!!” (which only managed to make me laugh harder).

After another moment or two I managed to squeak out the conversation I had heard followed by everyone else laughing too. The poor friend was still completely lost and didn’t understand what was so funny. Soon I explained that while his logic was correct, his definition was not. We explained what a used car lot really is and I believe he was a little embarrassed.
On his way out later that night, he thanked us for the game and for letting us know what a used car lot is. ;o) I still giggle a little bit when I think of it though!
