Today’s recipe: Dorrito Dinner
You will need:
-1 bag of Dorritos
-2 cans cream of mushroom soup
-1 lb ground beef (cooked)
-2- 4 oz cans tomato sauce
- 1/2-3/4 of a pkt of taco seasoning
-tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, olives, celery onions, and other misc. toppings
To make:
Combine mushroom soup, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and ground beef in a pot. Use the taco seasoning to taste, but remember that the Doritos chips are VERY flavorful, so if you add too much taco seasoning, the combination will be powerful. When in doubt, dip a chip into the sauce to taste and see if it is too strong or not enough)
Heat on stove top until warm. Serve over the Doritos and top with cheese and other toppings you like. yummy!!
(This recipe may sound a little strange, but is a favorite at our house and always gets guests asking for the recipe!)

Here are some cute candy necklaces that we made for the kids for Valentines day. First you take some plastic wrap and pull out about 30-32 inches of it. You are going to cut this in half the long way so that you can make 2 necklaces out of it. You can cut it by using scissors to cut. You will then place candy along the center of the plastic piece leaving a small space between candies.
We used cinnamon hearts, sweet tarts conversation hearts, starlight mints, and Hershey’s kisses. Use about 13-16 pieces of candy for a child’s sized necklace. Fold the plastic over the top of the candy from the bottom and then from the top, making a rond little tube. Then take sections of ribbon that have been cut to about 2 to 2 1/2 inches in length and tie between each candy. Tie the 2 ends together to make the necklace.
We made tags for the necklaces that read “You are as sweet as this necklace, Valentine” and then the to and from on the back side.
These were great fun to make! And pretty too!
Enjoy!

Well, its official. Jefe has gotten a job offer up in Utah and we will be moving 3 weeks from yesterday. It is a good offer and compared to what we have right now, it will be great! After all of the lay offs and pay cuts here in AZ we barely even have a job, let alone one that is paying the bills…so now I’m maddly packing the house and still trying to keep it clean in case anyone wants to come and look at it. Makes life interesting.
The kids love playing in the boxes though and think that this is a fun adventure! Me? I will be sad to leave and think that this may be our most difficult move yet. The area is ok and so was the house, but the people of Maricopa, AZ are the best! I will miss everyone so much!
So, if I’m a little bit elusive for about a month, you will know what is going on…moving…fun, fun!
