Back!

Hello all!

I am officially back from the DSWA (Direct Selling Woman’s Alliance) convention I went to this weekend in Las Vegas.  It was AMAZING.  I simply cannot discribe what a life changing experience it was for me, it 2 ways.

1.  The convention was absolutely wonderful!  I learned so much from all the speakers and other women there.  I networked and came back with a determined resolution to go for my goals.  I was on a conference call tonight and shared with them that up until now I didn’t really have a clear vision of WHAT I wanted in my business.  I didn’t have a clear picture of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do, I just knew I wanted to succeed.  NOW- I have direction and purpose.  I have a goal in mind and the determination and tools to go and GET it.  I even started to cry when I was sharing this on the call tonight because I know it in my heart SO much.

and #2- I left my kids.  I have been a mom for 5 years 2.5 months now and have never left all my kids overnight…EVER!  And I was gone for 2 nights and 3 days.  Can you believe it?  Jeffe was wonderful, as always, and swooped in like a superhero with extra hugs, kisses and baba’s for the kids and I didn’t know what to do with myself!   I actually would pace (in our hotel room after the events at the convention had finished for the day) and the 3 other Story Time Felts Consultants I was sharing the room with would just laugh and shake their heads at me….but it was really nice.

Not so nice part- baby was still nursing when I left, so can you say engorgement?  No fun!  But after 3 days without mom, he doesn’t even miss it. ;o)

I’m sure I will share more of my accomplishments and dreams coming true because of this fun, wonderful, life changing convention I went to as they happen…so then you will know the rest of the story (mom, that one’s for you!)

Changes and leaving

Filed Under Mom Time | Leave a Comment

First of all, I want to give myself a little (okay, I really mean a BIG) pat on the back. I ahve been working on my website over the last few weeks and have done some major changes. I have changed the navigation to be more user friendly and have updated the sidebar. I have also worked some other things too. Anyways, this phase of changes is finally done and I think it looks GREAT! Go see it at Time4Felt and tell me what you think!

And now on to the second part of this particular blog entry. I’m leaving town! I will be going to the DSWA (Direct Selling Womans Alliance) convention in Las Vegas, NV. I will be gone from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. I’m worried about my family and the kids since this is the only time I’ve left all my kids overnight anywhere (in 5 + years). On the other hand, I know that my business will benifit (not to mention me personally) SO much from this that I can’t wait!

Wish me luck and maybe I will share something cool that I learn!

What would you do?

Filed Under Funny, Kids | Leave a Comment

So we went the entire weekend without bread. I realized it Sunday morning and since we don’t shop on Sunday, we didn’t have any.

So bright and early Monday morning I get the kids up and ready to go to the grocery store. Just as I’d gotten the kids out of their car seats and closed the van door, my flip-flop breaks! The knob that holds the top strap under the bottom of the flop had broken. Being the resourceful mom that I am, I grabbed the scotch tape I had in the van and attempted to repair my shoe. But, it didn’t work…

So, now I’m stuck with a flip flop that is broken (and its broken to the point that it trips me as I try to walk with it). Decision time–Do I load the kids in the car and drive all the way home and then brave the entire day with 2 kids that I’m tending, my 3, no bread and no peanut butter and jelly (yep, out of those too…) or do I …

The thought of that was too much, so what did I do? Threw the darn flip-flop that was broken into the van, locked it up and took the kids in to the grocery store with 1 shoe! No one said anything to me, but I’m sure they noticed. They probably though, “Did she forget to put on her other shoe” or “that poor woman has lost her mind!” but I just went in, did my shopping and left. I got home just in time for the kids I was tending to show up too!

My foot is a little dirtier, my pride a little less, but we had PB&J sandwiches yesterday for lunch and that makes it all worth it.
